The receptors CB1 and CB2 are used in certain cognitive functions such as pain, appetite, memory, and internal balance.  The endocannabinoid system is found not just in humans but also in other mammals like your cat and dog etc. The receptors interact with CBD to provide a range of health benefits for your pets that I’ll go over in this post.

New research is showing that cannabinoids like CBD can have anticancer properties too, some studies are showing that cannabinoids can slow the growth and spread of cancer and reduce the size of tumours.

One study has shown that cannabinoids can enhance the effect of chemotherapy, it does this by increasing the rate of cancer cells absorbing chemotherapy agents, and protecting healthy cells.

Accumulation of free radicals in pets can disrupt internal balance keeping your dog anxious for a long time. CBD possesses an excellent antioxidant profile that serves to neutralise the harmful effects of free radicals and promote internal balance.

It’s believed that one of the main reasons CBD is so good at fighting various conditions is its anti- Inflammatory effect. CBD Has an ability to interact with receptors in immune cells.

Many conditions are characterised with chronic inflammation such as MS, Arthritis and more, by lowering inflammation CBD helps reduce pain and other symptoms.

CBD Promotes Homeostasis In Pets

Homeostasis can be described as correct body functions, it’s when our bodies are in balance and our biological systems are working at their best. Though the balance can go out of whack when illness and disease are present.

More research is showing that the endocannabinoid system plays a part in maintaining the balance, and by activating the endocannabinoid system with CBD can help promote homeostasis within your pets.
